Exel Cotton Mop Heads are durable, professional-quality mop heads designed for everyday floor cleaning in commercial, janitorial and workplace environments.

Made with absorbent cotton yarn, they are ideal for general mopping, spill collection and routine hard-floor maintenance. The colour-coded plastic sockets help support hygiene systems by making it easier to assign different mop heads to different cleaning areas.

A key feature of the Exel system is the self-threading fit. Although the socket does not look like a traditional screw thread, it is designed to work with compatible Exel screw-fit handles. Simply place the mop head onto the threaded end of the handle and begin turning it clockwise. As the handle rotates, the internal design of the socket grips the thread and cuts/locks itself into position, tightening securely as you continue to turn.

This means you do not need to force the mop head onto the handle or expect to see a conventional pre-cut screw thread inside the socket.

How to fit:
Place the mop head socket over the threaded end of the compatible handle. Hold the mop head steady and turn the handle clockwise. The socket will engage with the thread and progressively tighten itself onto the handle. Continue until securely fitted.

To remove, simply turn the handle in the opposite direction until the mop head releases.
